About Peace, Love, and Happiness

The Peace●Love●Happiness Charity Motorcycle Ride was conceived, in 2002, while two bikers were trekking through the Texas Hill Country.  During a pitstop, after hearing how horribly an Austin Police Officer was being criticized  for losing his life to save another, John Paul Dejoria; “Captain of Industry” and “Steward of the Planet” along with his friend, Gary Spellman, decided to take a stand.   They would create an event that not only helped the abused and neglected children of Austin, who are in desperate need of love and shelter, but also the families of the fallen men and women who keep our communities safe.

Peace●Love●Happiness is proud to support two worthwhile charitable causes; The Austin Children’s Shelter and The 100 Club of Central Texas.

The PLH Charity ride highlights all the best things about Austin: music, food, scenic roads, special places, plus the spirit and the soul of the city -- it’s community. It’s our community! That’s why, when we asked our celebrity friends to join us, they did so without hesitation. We ask you to join us too!
This kind of involvement from celebrities draws crowds of bikers, fans, and media coverage each year to the event. Since its inception in 2003, the annual events have raised more than $120,000!
